Role: designing, marketing and managing certificate and shortprograms of management education for executives and entrepreneurs of the Nordic/Baltic region.

Reporting to: CEO

Purpose of the role:

During the last few years, BMI’s activities in management education have expanded beyond its flagship well established 4-Continent Executive MBA programme and now include certificate programmes of “Leadership & Corporate Finance” in Vilnius & New Orleans, “Innovation and Industry 4” in Frankfurt & Vilnius, “Advancing Business Internationally” in Charlotte and a number of open seminars and corporate programmes. BMI feels the need to develop its management to face the growth in executive education.

Key Responsibilities and tasks

  • prospecting the market for executive education: multinational companies, family businesses, SME’s of the high tech sector, government bodies, etc.;
  • answering tenders from companies, government agencies, and institutions related to programs for executives and entrepreneurs;
  • designing new programs according to market needs and/or company specific demands;
  • negotiating with partner companies, partner schools, and institutions;
  • identifying international faculty invited to teach in these programs according to policy defined by BMI Director General and BMI Dean for Faculty & Research;
  • planning programs according to market needs and faculty availability;
  • implementing BMI evaluation procedures and quality standards within programs;
  • following the relationship with participants, partner institutions and faculty;
  • being responsible for pricing strategy, the overall volume of activity and margin on variable cost;
  • special focus should be given to establishing certificate or degree programs which can be offered annually.

Academic Background

  • University Education: minimum a Master degree
  • Preferably: MBA, EMBA, DBA, PHD of internationally recognized business school or university


  • English: Fluent
  • Secondl anguage preferably: Nordic, German (business level)

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in project management in sectors such as management education, management consulting, services, IT.
  • The job could be fulfilled either by a young executive (age: 30-35) or by a senior executive with strong established business contacts in Europe (Nordics/Baltics in particular) (age: 50-60) retired after a career in a multinational company or internationally oriented small business in the following sectors: services, finance, education, media, etc.

International Experience

At least a 2 years fulltime international assignment or education in West Europe, Nordics etc.

Skills and Interests

Entrepreneurial talent, communication and negotiation skills, international culture, managerial autonomy, capabilities in terms of planning and budgeting. Demonstrated interest for management education.
