Assistant Professor (m/f)

in the area of Management Accounting and Control

located at WHU Campus Vallendar, starting January, 2019 or later.

Academic Environment

WHU has more than 50 faculty members in the fields of management, finance and accounting, economics, entrepreneurship and innovation, marketing and sales and supply chain management. Research at WHU aims to adhere to three principles: quality, internationality and relevance to business practice.

This position is based in the Management Group. The group is dedicated to excel-lence in research and teaching. It covers the areas of strategic management, organi-zational behavior, strategy execution & management accounting, leadership, human resource management, organizational change and information management.

Job Description

  • Conducting high quality research
  • Collaborating closely with other researchers at the institute
  • Teaching in English-language WHU-programs

The appointment is initially for 3 years and can be extended for another 3 years conditional upon a positive mid-term review. Moreover, WHU offers the opportunity for tenure track, if the WHU requirements for a tenure track are met.

Job Qualifications

  • Completed Ph.D. degree
  • Empirical research orientation
  • Ideally, first publications and/or promising high quality working papers
