SKEMA Business School is seeking applicants for a position in supply chain and logistics, to manage one of our (MS/MSc) Programs Supply Chain Management & Purchasing beginning in January 2019. The successful candidate will have demonstrated an excellent track record in teaching, and academic research publications or strong practitioner experience inpurchasing, supply chain management, and /or operations management. The position is based on either SKEMA's Lille or Pariscampuses.

Main responsibilities of the appointee:

  • Manage either the MS or MSc Program in Supply Chain Management & Purchasing:
    1. Ensure the quality of curriculum content
    2. Recruit and manage adjunct faculty for the program (in conjunction with faculty management)
    3. Manage and develop relationship with corporate partners
    4. Lead the program’s scientific committee.
    5. Put forward and implement program changes in line with SKEMA’s strategy.
    6. Supervise students.
  • Teach courses in the discipline in different years and programs of the school.
  • Publish in peer-reviewed journals or relevant practitioner-oriented publications.

Requirements:

  • Hold a PhD in supply chain / logistics (or a related field).
  • Demonstrate the ability to deliver excellent teaching at different levels, and provide a strong commitment to engage in innovative teaching.
  • Perfect knowledge of the French language and context and a high level of proficiency in English.
  • Previous experience in program management or another academic coordination role would be an asset.
  • Publications in peer reviewed journals or relevant practitioner-targeted publications.
  • Be a good team player.
