I. La Chaire Workplace Management

The ESSEC Business School Workplace Management Chair is an applied research chair dedicated to workplace management. The Chair seeks to contribute to thinking about corporate office space management and disseminating knowledge of the subject.

The Workplace Management Chair takes as its starting point the profound changes observed in the use of corporate workspaces as well as in working methods. These changes are driven by such factors as the continuing development of new technologies, the rise in the cost of corporate real estate, the reduction of office space and the expectations of young talents.

The world of work is undergoing a revolution that has a disruptive effect on the overall plans of corporate real estate management as well as operation and strategy. Workplace management brings together a range of activities that allow for the planning, design, use and readiness of the components that enable employees to organize their daily tasks to optimize the use of corporate resources and facilities.

Workplace management allows corporations to analyse and optimize the way they use their physical space, organisation of work, human capital management and knowledge management.
