Within its Field of Excellence "Smart Regulation" the University of Graz is looking for a

Project Assistant without doctorate
(30 hours a week; - fixed-term employment for the period of 4 years; position to be filled as of July 1st 2019)

Your duties

  • The successful candidate should contribute to the Field of Excellence “Smart Regulation” and work on the research project „The Impact of Pre-Clearance and Third-Party Involvement on Tax Compliance“. This requires independent research in taxation from an economic and/or legal perspective and an active participation in research projects within the Field of Excellence. The doctoral programs of the Field of Excellence provide intensive support and mentoring as well as interdisciplinary discussion by Law and Business researchers.

  • Participation in the research activities of the field of excellence “Smart Regulation”

Your profile

  • Completed diploma or master's degree in business administration with a specialization in taxation or diploma or master's degree in economics with a specialization in public finance or diploma or master's degree in law with a specialization in tax law
  • Very good knowledge in the field of international taxation
  • Very good command of written and spoken German and English
  • Experience in university operations (desirable)
  • Willingness to complete a dissertation in the field of business taxation
  • Willingness to perform interdisciplinary research in the fields of law and Business Research
  • Ability to cooperate and work in teams
  • Enjoyment of academic research
  • Self-initiative and commitment

Classification

Salary scheme of the Universitäten-KV (University Collective Agreement): B1

Minimum salary

The minimum salary as stated in the collective agreement and according to the classification scheme is EUR 2148.40 gross/month. This minimum salary may be higher due to previous employment periods eligible for inclusion and other earnings and remunerations.
