The University of Udine opens 7 PhD positions in Managerial and Actuarial Sciences.

The programme structure

The PhD in Managerial and Actuarial Science is on full-time basis only. The duration is three years and the courses are organized around three curricula:

  1. Statistics and Actuarial Science
  2. Economics and Management of Innovation
  3. Welfare Management and Economics

The first year and a half consists of a number of graduate courses in areas related to different fields of interest. Then students are encouraged to spend a minimum of 6 months in a foreign University, where to develop relationships able to increase knowledge and competencies useful for the final dissertation.

The programme and the courses are entirely held in English. International students are encouraged to apply.

Teaching and other training activities will take place primarily at the course location or in other structures of the University of Udine or in other universities which participate to the doctoral project. The research activities will take place mainly at the supervisor’s institute or at research laboratories assigned by the teaching board.


The PhD MAS offers 7 fully funded scholarships.
