Supply Chain Processes Management

This bachelor degree program provides fundamental knowledge in business administration and an in-depth education in purchasing and logistics, which is the focus of this position. We emphasize interaction based teaching and aim at the integration of practice into our curricula, e.g. by placing student team projects in companies.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will be representing the area Supply Chain Processes Management and teaching in German and English on undergraduate and graduate level.
  • You will be integrating relevant methods of problem solving and process optimization as well as quality management such as CIP, PDCA, Value Stream Design, Lean Management, Six Sigma or agile project management.
  • Special focus is on the mapping of processes in IT systems and the digitalization of the supply chain.
  • You will be developing own ideas for interdisciplinary courses and will be working actively on the internationalization.
  • You will be contributing to the research and publication activities of the Business School in your area and integrating companies into applied research projects.

Your profile and qualifications:

  • You have worked in the area of Supply Chain Management, gained international experience and acquired leadership competence.
  • You are passionate about teaching and proved already your didactic skills.
  • You have built up an extensive national/international network.
  • You have a strong interest in knowledge transfer to industry.
  • Ideally you have already been successful in acquiring external funding.
  • You are willing to actively engage in administrative tasks at the university and to take over organisational functions in the degree program.

The formal requirements for applicants are a university degree and a Ph.D. or a comparable scientific qualification. A minimum of five years of postgraduate experience is required, of which a minimum of three years must have been gained outside the university.
