About the position

The Department of Accounting, Auditing and Law at NHH invites applications for a position as Assistant Professor in Financial Accounting, starting in August 2020 or on a mutually agreed date.

We seek to fill the position with an early-career candidate with a focus on archival financial accounting research. Applicants should hold, or be close to completing, a PhD in accounting or a related field from an accredited institution by the start date of the job. Applicants should have a strong commitment to research and teaching excellence and demonstrate the ability to publish in leading academic journals. Teaching load is very favorable – one course per year on average. In addition to research and teaching activities, the responsibility of this position involves supervision of master theses. The duration of the contract for this position is four years.

International experience and qualifications will be emphasized. In the event of equivalent qualifications, female applicants will be given preference.

The salary will be negotiable within the Norwegian State Salary Scale for Assistant Professors. External research grants and teaching in executive programs offer opportunities for supplementing this salary.
