Graduate Assistant in Organization Theory

The Department of Strategy at HEC Lausanne solicits applications for a PhD position in Organization Theory.

Starting date: September 1st, 2020.

Contract duration: The initial contract is 1 year. The contract can be renewed for 2 x 2 years. The maximum funding period is 5 years.

Location: University of Lausanne, Faculty for Business and Economics, Internef Building. The research activities will be carried out in Lausanne, Switzerland, where the candidate should take residence.

Type of position: This is a full-time position

Salary: 65’000 CHF (first year) – 75’800 CHF (fifth year)

Supervisor: The supervisor will be Professor Déborah Philippe.

Required Profile for the PhD position:

  • A master’s degree, preferably in Management or Economics.
  • Fluency in English.
  • A passion for research.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • An interest in the topics on which Professor Philippe does research (sustainability, social evaluations, organizational sociology) and in qualitative research methods

Job description:

  • A minimum of 50% of the position’s time will be dedicated to the completion of doctoral studies
  • A maximum of 50% of the position’s time will be dedicated to providing teaching and research support for the contract responsible
