The Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship will be hosted by the Department of Management DiSA within the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Group. DiSA coordinates several undergraduate, Master’s programs, and oversees the activities of Bologna Business School, the business school of the University of Bologna. Additionally, since 1992, DiSA offers a PhD program in Management. DiSA’s core subjects are Accounting, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Finance, Marketing, Organization and Strategy. DiSA ranks first among the Italian departments in the area of Economics, Management and Statistics (according to the 2017 “Dipartimenti di eccellenza” review).

The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Group includes 7 full, 3 associate and 6 assistant professors, 4 post-docs and 5 PhD students. The members of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Group publish regularly in journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Perspectives, Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Management Studies, Management Science, Research Policy, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal and Strategic Management Journal.

The Research Fellow will be employed within the project “Team formation and composition in nascent enterprises”, under the supervision of Prof. Paola Giuri.

Comparative assessment of the candidates

The candidates will be assessed comparatively by an evaluation panel. The selection procedure focuses on the examination of the selection criteria laid down in advance by the evaluation panel, the candidates' scientific-professional curriculum including the scientific work and publications, as well as an interview, aimed at verifying the suitability of the candidate for carrying out the research program. During the interview, the evaluation panel will also verify the candidates' knowledge of Italian and English languages.
