Salary:   Appointment will be made on the Associate Professor (Senior Lecturer) Pay scale (105 Schedule B): €76,170 - €97,604 at a point in line with current Government pay policy

Position Summary:

The School has implemented extensive innovation in both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees as well as in a new portfolio of executive education.  All these activities are delivering impactful programmes which are underpinned by personal development, ethical values, rigorous research and cutting-edge expertise from industry.

The School is seeking additional expertise in the area of accounting from in order to help achieve this new enhanced mission.  The School delivers a postgraduate Diploma in Accounting and undergraduate degrees with ACA and ACCA approved accountancy courses.  The Assistant Professor in Accountancy must be either qualified or chartered accountants and be able to cover teaching (undergraduate, postgraduate and executive education) in Accountancy broadly defined.

The School intends to hire a research-active academic who at Associate Professor level will have a minimum of six publications ranked by the Chartered Association of Business School at or above level 3 (ABS 3 star).  Applicants who meet these requirements to include publications in the FT50 are at an advantage.

The ideal candidate(s) for the post(s) will have a relevant PhD, high quality research publications and will be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching, research and administration/management, consistent with the demands of 21st Century business education.
