Applications are invited for the full-time post of Lecturer in Digital Marketing. The position is permanent.

Candidates will be expected to possess a Master’s Degree qualification in a relevant (e.g. Business Administration) field, as well as have good spoken and written competences in English. Extensive teaching experience at University of Applied Sciences level is highly appreciated. In addition, minimum 3-year practical experience in Business, mainly digital marketing field is required.

Preference will be given to candidates who are able to demonstrate their impact and contribution to practice. Your profile and ability to network and develop partnerships with external organizations will be relevant to further enhance the University's reputation and profile. All in all, we highly appreciate candidates who have a passion for teaching and have the knowledge, skills and competences to meaningfully contribute to a student-centric curriculum.

The applicant should have the teaching competences in following substance areas. In addition, proven experience from the following areas is also required:

  • The main substance area for the position is Digital Marketing in addition to e-Business and value creation processes
  • Ability and strong interest in project-based teaching with the companies in the region
  • Strong business and pedagogical development skills
  • Thesis guidance
  • Preferable high competences in online-teaching
  • Data collection, analysis and modelling competences are appreciated but they are not inevitable

The workplace location is mainly at HAMK's International Business program campus in Valkeakoski.

The qualification requirements for a Lecturer at a university of applied sciences in Finland are in accordance with Decree 1129/2014, Section 17. A Lecturer is also required to have 60 credits or 35 study weeks of pedagogical studies. Notwithstanding this, a Lecturer may be recruited on the condition that they will complete the required pedagogical studies within three years from the start of their employment.
