Audencia Business School (www.audencia.com) invites applications for one position of associate professor (or full professor) in the field of accounting for sustainable development. The position is for a full-time, non-fixed term contract and is effective from September 2021.

Position requirements

We are looking for applicants who can demonstrate expertise in accounting for sustainable development in both their teaching and research activities. Applicants at the associate professor level must have proven their ability to successfully pursue research funding and publish in high-impact peer-review international journals. Applicants at the professor level must in addition have proven their ability to pursue large grants, manage programmes and supervise PhD students.

The teaching associated with the position will be in English and fluency in French would be a very important asset. Previous teaching experience in English at undergraduate level in the fields mentioned above is mandatory, and executive education experience is required. An experience in programme management is welcome.

Salary is negotiable and commensurate with potential and experience. Position overview

The new faculty member will join the Department of Finance at Audencia. At the moment, there are 39 members of permanent faculty, 26 of which have a research profile. The faculty’s most recent/forthcoming publications include AAAJ, SAMPJ, CPA, etc. We welcome research profiles with qualitative as well as quantitative research methods.

The new faculty member will be associate of the Audencia Finance for Sustainability Centre of Expertise (https://www.linkedin.com/showcase/audencia-international-centre-of-expertise-on-finance-for-sustainability/?viewAsMember=true) which combines an international research centre (https://multicapital-performance.audencia.com/) and executive trainings including the new executive MBA Chief Value Officer (https://executive.audencia.com/en/diplomes-dirigeants-et-mba/mba-chief-value-officer/).

The position will contribute to the Centre by created pedagogical content (courses/case studies) and teaching both at the executive level as well as within our Masters, Grande Ecole and Bachelor programmes. The new faculty member will also within a year, become in charge of the executive MBA (in English) and the development of executive education in the area of Accounting for Sustainable Development. The new faculty member will be able to participate in intervention research projects led by the Centre, with potential research publications associated.
