Accreditation Manager at the JKU Business School for a 40-hour/week, two-year position (can be extended)

Together with the JKU Business School Manager and Deans, you will be spearheading the pursuit for accreditation of educational programs and the JKU Business School. This includes overseeing the data management surrounding the accreditation process and implementing accreditation structures in courses, programs and school processes. In addition, the role requires a continuous liaison between the school’s leadership team, the school staff, the university and the accreditation bodies. You will be responsible for the accreditation-related reporting and will be representing the school at conferences organized by the accreditation bodies.

Job Duties:

  • Proactively lead the planning, managing and operational support of all requirements from the external accreditation bodies for the Business School and its programs
  • Collation, preparation and presentation of accurate qualitative and quantitative data that supports all of the Business School’s accreditation activities
  • Demonstrate a flexible approach to work, which may include undertaking other duties that may be required by school management
  • Draft accurate and informed written responses to all queries, requirements and recommendations from the school’s external accreditation bodies, ensuring that deadlines are met and senior managers are briefed at all times on external communication activities
  • Bridge communication/interaction gaps among Business School members and with accreditation bodies, and JKU departments

Required Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate must hold a Diploma/Master’s degree, ideally in the areas of (Higher Education) Pedagogy or Business Studies, Business Informatics or equivalent
  • Excellent command of the German and English languages (level C1)
  • Commitment, and the ability to work well independently and in a team
  • Willingness to travel
  • Business Intelligence and Business Process Management practice (required for operating accreditation procedures)

Desired Qualifications:

  • A demonstrable understanding of accreditation issues in Higher Education, including an understanding of academic quality and standards in a business or management school environment
  • Extensive work experience in a senior administrative environment
  • Experience with university management systems
  • Basic understanding of Higher Education Pedagogy

  • On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 2,711.90 gross per month (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: IVa)
