As a result of the growing portfolio, we are looking for a

Junior Project Consultant

(Full-time, 38 hours per week)

The position:

The Junior Project Consultants supports the Project Consultants in realizing project acquisition targets, turn-over and contribution margin, within the assigned professional area and region.

The Junior Project Consultant reports to the Director International Projects and Consultancies.

Tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the management and acquisition of international projects and consultancies, including proposal and report writing;
  • Executing project related desk research and field research in developing countries;
  • Organizing executive customized trainings and workshops for the global market;
  • Facilitating matchmaking between different economic parties (private sector, public sector, civil society and knowledge institutions) within the framework of international projects;
  • Disseminating and managing project related information and knowledge;
  • Actively taking part in the monitoring and evaluation responsibilities by setting up systems and writing reports in cooperation with the Monitor and Evaluation coordinator;
  • Publishing project results in both academic and non-academic journals;
  • Supporting the further development of the International Projects and Consultancies Team;
  • Initiate, develop and manage (communication) projects processes;
  • Defining, planning, coordinating and implementing external and internal project communications for a wide portfolio of capacity building projects.

Qualifications and competencies:

  • Master degree or equivalent in the field of Research, Development, Business or Public Administration;
  • At least 1 year of experience in an academic environment;
  • Full proficiency in English. Proficiency in Dutch is an advantage;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Project management and research skills;
  • Knowledge of quantitative research methods is an advantage;
  • Willingness to travel;
  • Prior experience with database-set up, teaching and writing proposals is desirable;
  • Accuracy, customer focus, excellent communication skills, pro-active, result oriented, planning and organizing and cultural awareness;

Candidates should be willing to relocate to (the vicinity of) Maastricht.
