SKEMA Business School ( invites applications for one position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank, in Information Systems area, to begin August 2022. The successful candidate will develop and/or lead academic research projects with the aim of publishing in the field's highest quality journals and disseminate relevant knowledge through student instruction in Information system, and/or research methods (RM) fields].

The candidate may be asked to teach online or on campus and be required to work in Nanjing, Suzhou, or other locations in China for undergraduate and/or graduate level courses. The candidate is expected to contribute to student mentorship, to projects related to SKEMA SKY25 corporate strategy, and to be actively engaged in other service initiatives, including student selection processes, organizing academic workshop/seminars for students and contributing to projects related to school strategy. If appropriate, s/he may take on a coordination role.

The position is permanent with a full-time contract. Salary and conditions are competitive, in line with international standards. SKEMA Business School offers publication bonuses for peer-reviewed publications, following the French CNRS Journals Ranking list. The language of work and instruction is English. Knowledge of French is not required, and we will not use it as a criterion for selection. SKEMA Business School offers support in learning French.

Qualifications must include:

  • A Ph.D. in Information systems or related field from an AACSB or EQUIS accredited institution, and be interested in business domain.
  • Strong evidence of recent research productivity and teaching excellence in Information system, or related fields, including evidence of conference presentations, high quality peer-reviewed research publications, exemplary teaching ratings, and awards.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a collegial environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to service and/or outreach activities.

The PRISM Research Centre comprises researchers from different research fields (information systems, law, project management, statistics, supply chain, procurement, operations, etc.) using different research methodologies (bibliometrics, qualitative and quantitative surveys, statistical inference, qualitative research, cybernetics, grounded theory, text mining, stochastic programming, social network analysis, rheology, etc.).  The overall purpose of our work is to help firms become more efficient and equip them with the toolsets and vision to take advantage of new and upcoming technologies. We aim to help firms cope with the challenges posed by climate change, abnormal weather and pandemic disruptions. We organize regular research seminars on the three French campuses, host international workshops and welcome visiting researchers as well as practitioners. We actively participate in various proposals and research projects in the European Union Horizon research programs.
