Founded in 1909, ESSCA is an internationally accredited business school (AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS) located on 8 campuses: Angers, Aix-en-Provence, Bordeaux, Budapest, Lyon, Paris, Shanghai, and Strasbourg from 2022. The school offers a wide range of programs including the Bachelor in International Management, the integrated Master in Management, several Masters of Science, a part-time Executive MBA, as well as open and tailor-made Executive programs.

ESSCA’s Economics, Law and Society (ECLS) department is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor in Economics for its Angers Campus.

Candidates must hold a PhD in the field of Economics, have a proven experience in higher education, and be able to teach in French and English to a variety of audiences (undergraduates, graduates, and Executives).

The successful candidate will be part of the ECLS department, which deploys multi-campus courses in economics and has the following main research topics:

  • Environmental Economics
  • History of Economic Thought
  • European Union Law and Policies
  • Experimental economics.

The ECLS research topics are encompassed within the larger theme of Responsible Leadership, in accordance with the ESSCA expertise in this domain.

Candidates must have a high potential or a significant record of academic publications in peer-reviewed journals, preferably in areas consistent with the specializations of current faculty. He/she must be a team player with good communication skills.
