Founded in 1909, ESSCA is an internationally accredited business school (AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS) located on 8 campuses: Angers, Aix-en-Provence, Bordeaux, Budapest, Lyon, Paris, Shanghai, and Strasbourg from 2022. The school offers a wide range of programs including the Bachelor in International Management, the integrated Master in Management, several Masters of Science, a part-time Executive MBA, as well as open and tailor-made Executive programs.

ESSCA’s Economics, Law and Society (ECLS) department is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor in Law for its Angers Campus.

Candidates must hold a PhD, have a proven experience in higher education, and be able to teach in French and English to a variety of audiences (undergraduates, graduates, and Executives). Prior corporate experience, such as in law firms, could be an advantage.

The successful candidate will be part of the ECLS department, which deploys multi-campus courses in economics and has the following main research topics:

  • Environmental Economics
  • History of Economic Thought
  • European Union Law and Policies
  • Experimental economics.

The ECLS research topics are encompassed within the larger theme of Responsible Leadership, in accordance with the ESSCA expertise in this domain.

Candidates must have a high potential or a significant record of academic publications in peer-reviewed journals, preferably in areas consistent with the specializations of current faculty. He/she must be a team player with good communication skills.
