The research carried out at the Department of Business Administration at TalTech School of Business and Governance deals with various aspects of business: organisation, management and leadership; marketing; entrepreneurship; knowledge and technology transfer; supply chain management; accounting and performance management, and, of course, sustainability and digital transformation. The School has over 200 employees.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Department is seeking candidates for PhD positions

in the following areas:

Appointees will be committed research-focused scholars who are interested in making an impact and contributing to and working within a supportive academic community. The purpose of the PhD position is to undertake original research and contribute to the submission of applications for research funding. The candidate is expected to have very good qualitative and/or quantitative research skills depending on the position.

The post-holder is expected to contribute to research and development as well as small-scale teaching-related activities. There are also ample opportunities for conducting cross-disciplinary research across TalTech.

General Qualification requirements:

  • a master’s degree
  • strong motivation and a clear interest in the topic of the position
  • excellent command of English
  • strong analytical and writing skills
  • capacity to work both as an independent researcher and as part of an international research team
  • capacity to communicate research results both to the academic expert community and the non-expert community
  • capacity and willingness to contribute to organisational tasks within and outside the research team
