Admission Requirements

The selection is open to applicants who:

• have obtained a national qualification in accordance with art. 16 of Law 240/2010 for the competition sector or for one of the competition sectors included in the same macro-sector and for the functions that are the subject of the procedure, or for higher functions provided they do not already hold those higher functions;
• are eligible pursuant to Law 210/1998 for the category addressed by the call for applications, solely for the period of duration of the same;
• are professors permanently employed by a different University (on the date of entry into force of Law 240/2010) in the category addressed by the call for applications;
• are academics with permanent employment abroad, performing research activities or teaching at university level in positions that are equivalent to those addressed by the call for applications, as determined by reference to the equivalence tables issued by the Ministry.

It is not possible to participate in the procedure for those who (at the time of the application submission) have kinship or affinity within the fourth level included with a professor belonging to the Department activating the position, or to the structure that makes the call or the Rector, Director General or a member of the Board of Directors of the University.

Introduction

The Alma Mater Studiorum-Università di Bologna was founded in 1088, and it is considered the oldest university in the Western World. It boasts over 90,000 students enrolled, 32 Departments, 5 Schools, 5 Campuses, and nearly 6,000 employed as instructors or support staff. UNIBO offers 96 international degree programs, 79 of which are delivered in English, 48 Ph.D. programs, 55 specialization schools, and 95 Master's programs.

The position will be hosted by the Department of Management (DiSA) that coordinates several undergraduate Master's programs and participates in the activities of Bologna Business School, the business school of the University of Bologna, to which the candidate will be invited to contribute. Additionally, since 1992, DiSA offers a Ph.D. program in Management, and a Ph.D. program in Public Governance, Management e Policy, and a Ph.D. program in Future Earth, Climate Change and Societal Challenges.

DiSA provides a dynamic research environment in which faculty members and distinguished visitors conduct both applied and theoretical research in all areas. A unique insight into the entrepreneurial and innovation processes, which involves significant societal changes. It is composed of three branches in the towns of Bologna, Forlì, and Rimini.

The Organization and Human Resource Management Group at the Department of Management stands in leading positions, and it extensively publishes in major journals.

Expected Activities

The successful candidate will teach and conduct research in the area of organizational behavior. The successful candidate will be required to lecture for a total of 120 hours, sometimes in English and primarily in the above area.
