The Department of Economics and Management of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance of the University of Luxembourg is looking for a Postdoctoral researcher to conduct quantitative research in the domain of accounting and/or finance, specifically carbon and water risk disclosure.

Your Role...

The postdoctoral researcher will be working under the supervision of Associate Professor Thomas Kaspereit. In particular, the Postdoctoral researcher will be in charge of:

• Collecting and analyzing quantitative carbon and water risk data
• Coordinate collaboration with an international team of researchers (Canada)
• Publication of articles in scientific reviews and contributions to conferences
• Preparing project reports to the Luxembourg National Research Fund

Qualifications...

We are looking for a candidate with a PhD in accounting, finance or related disciplines (N.B. applications from PhD candidates who will have started their final year of doctoral studies before that date may be considered).

In particular, the following requirements apply:

• Strong interest in empirical quantitative research (empirical archival)
• Proven ability to autonomously conduct research at a post-doctoral level
• Good IT skills ® proficiency in Stata is a mandatory requirement
• Proven ability to work individually as well as part of a team
• Have the linguistic skills to evolve in a multilingual environment: fluency in either English or French, good understanding of the second language and possibly a third language, German in particular, will be considered an advantage
• Excellent communication and writing skills
