Our Business School is looking for a candidate to fill the following professorship in the field of International Business for the summer semester 2020:

Your responsibilities:

  • You will be teaching International Business topics in our tri-lingual Bachelor’s program (English / German / French or Spanish) in the English language.
  • You will also be expected to teach various International Business topics in the English language within the Master’s program in the mid- to long-term.
  • You will work together with companies on teaching and research projects and contribute to the research activity of our faculty.
  • You will regularly publish in internationally recognized scientific journals
  • You will actively participate in the academic self-government of the International Business Department, the Business School, and the University.
  • You will actively support the internationalization activities of our Business School.

Your profile and qualifications:

  • You have proven your scientific qualification by having successfully studied Business Sciences/Economics in an international context and by completing a doctorate.
  • You have acquired international work experience, preferably in Purchasing / Supply Chain Management or Sales and have managed teams.
  • You are an enthusiastic teacher possessing excellent teaching and didactical skills proven by an extensive teaching record.
  • You are an experienced project manager and negotiate successfully in an international context.
  • You have an excellent command of the English (C1) and German (B2) language, both in written and spoken communication. Additional knowledge of French or Spanish is an advantage.
  • Ideally, you have experienced the consequences of digital transformation in international business during your career.

The formal requirements for applicants are a university degree and a Ph.D. or a comparable scientific qualification. A minimum of five years of postgraduate experience is required, of which a minimum of three years must have been gained outside the university. The successful applicant will initially be offered a tenured position on probation which will automatically be changed to a tenured position when the conditions stipulated by the state government (Baden-Württemberg) have been fulfilled.
