Católica Porto Business School of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, in Porto, has currently an open call for the admission of two invited assistant professors for teaching and research, for the academic year 2019/20, in full time.

Scientific area

  • Strategy with a focus (preferably but not exclusively) on digital transformation
  • Marketing with a focus (preferably but not exclusively) on digital marketing

The prospective candidates must possess:

  • A PhD degree in one of the above, or related, areas;
  • Proficiency in the English language (applicants do not have to speak nor understand Portuguese);
  • Excellent Teaching skills at different education levels (undergraduate, master and executive education);
  • Research capability and curriculum;
  • Initiative;
  • Capability for team work (teaching teams and research groups):
  • Good social skills

Brief description

  • Lecturing in the undergraduate degrees in Economics and Management or in the Master programmes of Católica Porto Business School (there might be the opportunity to teach at the MBA level and in executive education courses).
  • Cooperating with the respective teaching team.
  • Other duties associated with lecturing, such as preparing support materials, marking and evaluating tests and exams, participating in meetings, etc..
  • Contribute to the research status of the school by assuring research level of high quality;
  • To participate in other activities of the School connected to teaching and non-teaching activities.

Selection method:

  • Curriculum analysis and assessment
  • Interviews to the candidates who perform better in the curriculum analysis and assessment
