Head of Master Program – Luxury & Management

Under the direction of the Deputy Dean, the Head of Master Program will have the following missions:

  • Lead and develop the program and other related programs
  • Direct the academic content and program delivery
  • Work closely with the dedicated administrative teams: Marketing/communication, Operations, and Career Development
  • Manage the dedicated program team

The Head of Master Program should embody the program for all stakeholders – students, faculty, staff, companies and corporate partners and alumni.

Academic role:

  • Define the structure and content of program to ensure connection between academic research and industry practice
  • Identify, select and manage faculty resources
  • Comply with accreditation needs
  • Review and revise program based on student feedback, current research, needs of market, business trends and strategic direction of program
  • Drive improvement and innovation in content and student experience in order to enhance program outcomes, student employability, performance in rankings and accreditations
  • Take responsibility for quality control to ensure quality delivery of program in conjunction with faculty
  • Conduct academic policies (completion rules, exams, …) in coordination with the Operation teams
  • Ensure quality of candidates to refine recruitment strategies

Business, Operations and Administrative role:

  • Be responsible for the program budget and gross margin
  • Work with Careers team to increase quantity and quality of placement results and to engage corporations in program
  • Conduct admissions
  • Supervise and coach students
  • Ensure respect of policies and procedures of program and wider institution
  • Ensure running of and preside over various meetings – student representative meetings, Student Performance Review Committees, Teaching Committee, …
  • Represent and promote the program internally and externally in interactions with key external stakeholders (boards, accrediting agencies, …)

Profile:

Experience:

  • PhD or equivalent relevant professional experience
  • Proven experience in effectively leading and managing Masters’ Programs
  • Strong interest for the luxury industry
  • University level teaching in a business or management discipline
  • Successful experience of business and management practice/Experience of working in Business

Abilities:

  • Ability to initiate and drive strategic change
  • Ability to engage academic staff in development of program
  • Ability to establish collaborative and constructive working relationships across spectrum of professional support staff
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Financial and budgeting skills
  • Native English, proficiency in French
  • International profile with multicultural experience;  understanding of European/French culture
