POSITION: Assistant Professor of Business/Leadership or Economics. Applicants with extensive academic background may be eligible for Associate Professor rank. This is a full-time tenure-track faculty role in the Business and Leadership Program, which emphasizes balance among people, planet, and profits, and leadership for the common good. Teaching is in the core business curriculum or economics, or both; capacity to teach multiple subfield areas of business is desired. Teaching is in-person, and full time faculty generally maintain a physical presence in the department during weekday work hours.

QUALIFICATIONS: PhD, DBA, or other terminal degree (ABD may be considered) in business, management, administration, leadership, economics, or related field. Industry experience is critical, notably in organizational leadership role(s). Teaching experience is preferred, and ideally at the college level. Publication record or evidence of scholarly ability is expected.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Full-time member of EMU’s Business and Leadership Program, including teaching, service, and scholarship. Teaching will primarily be at the undergraduate level but may also include one or more graduate courses. Service will include student advising and other program-level responsibilities in addition to university-wide engagement.

POSITION DETAILS: Nine-month contract, 24 semester hours per year. Salary level is determined by education and experience. EMU uses a tenure with post-tenure review contract system.
