The research carried out at the Department of Business Administration in the School of Business and Governance in TalTech deals with various aspects of business: organization, management and leadership; marketing; entrepreneurship; knowledge and technology transfer; supply chain management; accounting and performance management, and, of course, digital transformation. The School has over 200 employees.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The purpose of the Postdoctoral Researcher position is to undertake original research, and assist in applying for research funding applications. The selected candidate will work closely with Professor Mari-Klara Stein in the Business Administration Department at TalTech.

We are looking for applicants who are interested in some of the following research topics: emerging forms of digital work, such as platform work; future work models that are resilient in the face of shifts in worker demographics, the refugee crisis, and the climate crisis; implications of work digitalization on individual, organizational and societal levels; consequences of datafication and algorithmic management in the workplace.

The post holder is expected to contribute to research and development as well as small-scale teaching-related activities. There are also ample opportunities for conducting cross-disciplinary research across TalTech.

Qualification requirements

  • Previous academic background in management, organization studies, information systems, economics, psychology and/or HR is strongly desirable. However, outstanding candidates from other disciplines and especially those with solid, proven qualitative or quantitative research and analysis skills as well as established research experience would be considered. Previous experience in successfully seeking research and other funding is also desirable.
  • Candidates should have successfully defended their PhD within the past 8 years.
  • A publication track record and a healthy publication pipeline are essential.
  • Language skills: English (advanced).
