Job Duties:

• The position is critical in influencing programme design, development and quality to ensure that Bahrain Polytechnic offers higher education that is focused on producing PROFESSIONAL and ENTERPRISING work-ready, graduates.
• The position is critical to influencing programme design, development and quality to ensure that Bahrain Polytechnic offers higher education that is focused on producing PROFESSIONAL and ENTERPRISING work-ready, graduates.
• Seeks ways to assist the Polytechnic in achieving its vision, mission, values, strategic goals and operational requirements
• Develop relationships with industry, community, government and other tertiary institutions
• Lead and participates in committees/working groups, as required
• Lead and participates in institutional projects as required
• Performs other duties as may be reasonably required

Essential qualification and experience

Successful applicants to the position of Associate Professor are required to have:

• PhD Qualification
• At least 8 years academic experience in a tertiary institution with primary delivery in English
• Demonstrated commitment to Student centered learning or Problem based learning methodologies
• Current Assistant Professor with the experience mentioned above or current Associate Professor
• Strong practical abilities
