The Stellenbosch Business School at Stellenbosch University was the first African business school to receive the prestigious Triple Crown of international accreditations, reserved for the top 1% of business schools worldwide. The Business School hosts the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) for South Africa and has an established reputation for entrepreneurship, including the Small Business Academy, entrepreneurial content running through its programme portfolio, and links to the University’s incubator and technology transfer teams.
We aim to provide a stimulating, inclusive and multicultural environment in which to shape future leaders through our teaching and inform through our academically-rigorous and societally-relevant research. The Business School wishes to take its research and teaching in entrepreneurship to the next level by building upon its existing activities (Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, the Small Business Academy, established entrepreneurship academic content, etc.) and helping to drive the commitment of Stellenbosch University to become a leading entrepreneurial University.
The new professor in entrepreneurship will help to establish the national and international reputation for the Business School in impactful research in the entrepreneurship field, and develop a research team who can fully exploit existing possibilities activities and build new opportunities. The research in entrepreneurship will feed and support the School’s teaching and social impact activities for its national and international ecosystems.
